The EBMT Tea Party is a fun fundraiser where the Trust has had the distinct privilege hosting a Caribbean-style Tea Party at the residence and grounds of the High Commissioner for Barbados in Rockcliffe, which is in itself a big drawing card for the growing number of attendees.
This event is a less formal version of the classic British tea party; food fare such as cucumber sandwiches and scones is served, but this is augmented with Caribbean delicacies such as corn beef sandwiches, coconut bread, mauby and sorrel. There are door prizes, and a much anticipated “best hat” contest, plus usually a fashion show and live entertainment. Of course, there is tea (Note: In the Caribbean, almost all hot drinks are called “tea” – green tea, cocoa tea, coffee tea, bush tea…..).

Due to COVID-19, there was no Tea Party in 2020. We look forward to bringing back this exciting event as soon as possible.
In the meantime, please DONATE to help us continue to support the students.
